The first mares were bred with Lucky ticket (Candy Ride {Arg} -Quiet Giant, of the Giant’s Causeway) and Son of Thunder (Uncle Mo-Chattertown, by Sightstown) was confirmed in foals via press release from Climax Stallions. Fortune Ticket, full brother of Horse of the Year and two-year-old No. 1 male Gunman, is standing its first season at Anchor and Hope Farm in Maryland. Across the board in four of six lives that started with two wins, he sold for $27,000 two years ago at KEENOV. Son of Thunder, the older brother of the late Laoban, is standing its first season at Waldorf Ranch in New York. The Bay was a $475,000 Denali Stud shipment, and he went the way of Lael Stable at the 2019 Saratoga Select sale. He retired with a second attempt after just three starts in his life. Fortune Ticket and Son of Thunder are both heading into the 2022 breeding season with a $2,500 promotional fee, racks, and nurses. “We are delighted to be able to bring such elite bloodlines to the regional market,” said Sean Feld, President of Climax Stallions, whose team is supporting support even freshmen with many mares. “Both stallions are in excellent physical condition to match, which has us anxiously awaiting the arrival of the ponies.”
