The FDA has confirmed there is a nationwide shortage of Adderall after many pharmacies around the country were unable to fill prescriptions and keep up with demand.
The drug, also known as amphetamine salt mix, is used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and narcolepsy.
“We will continue to monitor supplies and assist manufacturers with whatever is necessary to address shortages and will update our website with new supply information as it becomes available,” the FDA said. said.
