David McKathan’s Campus Sales & Training Program had its fourth employee to date as Dirty Jimmy Creed (Hips 939) is one of five minors to brag about : 9 4/5 Friday in the sixth session of the Ocala Breeder Sales Company Spring Sale.

Hip 939 is one of three: 9 4/5 workers for the Facility this week with the others being Tapiturea filly (Hips 87) (video) and a Macho Uno colt (Hips 674) (video). McKathan also has a : 9 3/5 breezer in Hips 346a daughter of Street boss.

“That was great for us,” McKathan said of the spring sale. “We have some beautiful horses. They’re training well on the ranch and we can often relate the way they train out there with what we’ll achieve here. But, it’s always a nice surprise when you break: 10 flat. It’s harder to do than people know.”

McKathan bought the Hip 939 for $38,000 at the Fasig-Tipton October Sale. Bred by Stan Dodson in Ontario, the chestnut is the daughter of SW Quite a Ruckus (Richter Scale).

McKathan said of her newest bullet worker: “She was a really nice person. “She has been training well. We know she’s a particularly dirty person. She’s also a pretty dirty person. I’ve had some luck with Jimmy Creeds. ”

Other minors to brag about: 9 4/5 Friday is a Candy Ride (Arg) filly (Hips 901) deposited by King’s Equine (video); the son of Honor code (Hips 1006) from the McKathan Bros. (video); a Bolt d’Oro filly (Hips 1017) posted by de Meric Sales (video); and a dirty person by Shipman (Hips 1048) from the Top Sales inventory (video).

A pony from the first case of GI Haskell Invitatonal winner S. Girvin (Hips 1004) passed the fastest quarter of Friday’s session in : 20 3/5. He was deposited by Jesse Hoppel’s Coastal Equine, which also has a Wednesday ammo worker in Hip 548, a pony Lord Nelson went in: 3/5/20.

An $8,000 OBS October purchase, the Hip 1004 was pulled from the OBS March Sale in favor of this auction. He is the half brother of MSW Tiger Blood (Cowtown Cat) and SP Smarten Up (American Freedom). A filly by Ocala Stud’s Girvin (Hips 198) raised $240,000 in OBS March sale after joining : 20 4/5.

The seventh and final session of the OBS spring sale begins at 8:00 a.m. Saturday.
