Lord Heseltine has praised Sir John Major and Sir Tony Blair for publicly criticizing The Crown’s latest series.

The former Conservative deputy prime minister described the former PMs’ intervention as “important” ahead of the show’s release on Netflix next week.

Speaking to Sky News, Lord Heseltine said: “Very well, I’m glad they spoke up. They have the credibility of the public and it’s important that people understand what’s going on and what has happened. really speak up because the Royal Family is in a very difficult position to defend themselves.”
