Via Sam Volz: Jose Benavidez Sr predicts that Caleb Plant will be beaten by David Benavidez on March 25 to the point that his career will never be the same due to the penalty he will incur in the competition.
Jose Sr says his son Benavidez’s goal (26-0.23 KOs) is to ruin the career of 30-year-old former IBF super-middleweight champion ‘Sweethands’ Plant (22-1, 13 KOs) to him’ Will never be the same after this.
Plant & Benavidez will appear on Showtime PPV at the MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas. The two of them talked a lot of trash, and Benavidez was hot-tempered and seemingly out of control in the face of all the usual comments from the Tennessee native Plant.
Some fans suggested that Benavidez was too emotional and that could negatively affect his match against Plant. If Benavidez gets angry, Plant can take advantage of the situation by outboxing him.
Furthermore, Benavidez is train from many people’s point of view it’s just too hard, and it seems like he’s going overboard and could leave himself ragged after a period of combat. Looking at Beenavidez’s tired look in recent interviews, it seems like he overworked himself in training camp.
“We will go with everything. As I said, We’re not trying to bring down Caleb Plant. I just think David is stronger and bigger. The Caleb plant was stopped earlier. One could say that David was attracted to [Ronald] Gavril,” Jose Benavidez Sr told fight.
“Okay, what happened to [Ronald] Gavril after fighting David Benavidez? Every warrior who fought David was not the same. Their careers are over. This is what we are trying to do with Caleb Plant.
“After fighting David, he will be a failure, he will not be a person anymore. If the knockout happens, I’ll be happy, but we’re not trying to do that. We’re trying to beat him and give him the beat of his life.”
It seems that Benavidez Sr has made things too personal and he needs to stay calm if he wants to keep his son from being dominated by Plant.
“If the knockout round happens that is fine, but like I said, we just want to make a statement. We want to look good and give the fans a good game,” said Benavidez Sr.
