The Block 2022: Scott Cam will knock out a team in ‘boom’ episode

Scott Cam will drop his shoes and remove a couple from The Block on Sunday.

In a trailer released on Friday, five teams stood in front of the presenter, 59, as the score reveal room was displayed and he dressed one of them.

Although it’s unclear which team he’s talking to, Scott said: ‘You can’t expect me to let that slide. Regardless of whether you win tonight or not, I will disqualify you. ‘

Scott then asked ‘anyone here who thinks I’m unfair’ to raise their hand.

The camera cuts to all of the contestants standing in a line without raising their hands, before turning back to Scott as he praises the ‘unanimous decision’.

It comes after The Block was criticized for its ‘hypocritical’ message condemning online bullying, after some contestants were trolled due to their ‘villain editing’.

A post on the official Instagram account of the Channel Nine rehab program urged viewers to refrain from ‘personal attacks’ on the contestants.

‘We are all part of The Block family and we need to support each other,’ it read.

‘Comments are welcome, but personal attacks, negativity, racial abuse and trolls will not be tolerated.’

It concluded: ‘Report abusive, harmful or racist content using the platform’s support tools.’

This statement may be in response to the racist abuse faced by Sharon Johal and Ankur Dogra, who have emerged as the main villains of the season.

While comments were muted on the Instagram post and the producers likely had good intentions, some viewers took to Twitter to accuse Nine of ‘inciting’ fellow haters, which they condemned with how to edit some contestants to look like ‘villains’.

‘I’m scared of your show, the producer, the judge, even Scotty [Cam, the host] It’s sad to provoke so many responses,’ one person tweeted.

Some fans even accused Scott of being a ‘bully’, alluding to the tough love approach he adopted with The Block contestants.

Sharon, who is competing on the show with her husband Ankur, previously publicly shared two racist, vile messages she received from viewers.
