The best Zebedee’s Pogo in the challenge
Via Tom Fry
Confirming his love for Newmarket, Gary and Linnet Woodward’s Pogo (Ire) (Zebedee {GB}) did it all under a perfectly judged ride from William Buick to successfully register for the third model race in Friday’s G2 Purebred Industrial Employee Award Challenge Misty Gray (Ire) (Dark Angel {Ire}), May 28 winner G3 John of Gaunt S. and June 25 winner G3 Criterion S. fell far ahead of that opponent and beyond the reach of Holy (GB) (Exceed And Excel {Aus}) to score 1 1/4 of the length. In seven starts here, Pogo is trained by Charlie Hills, who last went to Kinross (GB) (King {GB}) at G2 City of York S. and traded as second favorites 7-4 having won four and finished second out of the remaining three.
