Probably the first “SUPER FOOTBALL AD” in history, it announced the presence of Apple and will soon take over the tech world. What most of these ads have in common is that the message is simple, but the message is loud and clear. A lot of Super Bowl commercials lost their star power and production budgets, and you don’t even know what the hell they’re talking about or even what they’re advertising.
There’s no such problem for “1984,” as it’s clear that Apple told everyone it was going to break the monotony and change the world. That, as annoying as it may seem now, has done quite a bit. Now if they could just invent a laptop keyboard I wouldn’t destroy it with my purposeful and determined typing (and obviously very aggressive fingers?).
