The NBA Draft 2022 starting line-up was exactly what we thought it was with an amazing twist. Paolo Banchero, Jabari Smith, Chet Holmgren, Jaden Ivey and Keegan Murray flew off the shelves to start the evening. After reports surfaced earlier in the day that the Orlando Magic were plugging their hook into Jabari Smith, a Woj atomic bomb threw the top five into a blender.
These top five might not radiate the aura of death squad that the 2018 Draft top five (Deandre Ayton, Marvin Bagley, Trae Young, Luka Dončić and Jaren Jackson Jr.) have. We may not know for a couple of seasons if Banchero, Holmgren, Ivey, Murray and Smith will be the franchise platform for their new teams, but they could end up being mainstays of talent in the end. alongside their respective superstar teammates.
