The 1 million euro vintage Colt leads in sales at Arc

Quality blood supplies have been in high demand at a wide range of locations and all prices internationally despite the ongoing political upheaval in 2022 and the Arqana Arc Sale in Saint- Cloud on Saturday night continued that trend.

Dominating the buyer’s table are Jean-Pierre de Gaste and Alexandra Saint Martin’s International Traroughbred Consultants (ITC). The duo chose a set of ponies, including the Classic placed horse Schwarzer Peter (Ger) (Neatico {Ger}) (lot 17) – seller worth 1 million euros – on behalf of Sheikh Haif Mohammed Al Qahtani Haif Company. Those five lots brought in €2.94 million or 37% of the total.

Sold midway through the store event, the 3-year-old foal was brought out by trainer Markus Klug. Winner as a minor and second in the G3 Preis des Winterfavoriten, son of Sovalla (GB) (Pomelato {Ger}) is listed in the added list to the Memorial of Dr. Busch-G3 in third place, before putting in the best of his career when he finished second in the G1 Deutsches Derby. Since that race, Schwarzer Peter has placed again at Group 3 level, this time in Baden-Baden’s G3 Preis der Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe. The relative of G3 Prix winner Edmond Blanc Silas Marner (Fr) (Muhtathir {GB}) also participated in a number of other group races in this campaign, including the G1 Grosser Preis von Bayern in Munich on November 6

Hero Whobegotyou (Aus) (Street Cry {Ire}).

Just one lot ahead of Schwarzer Peter, ITC spent €480,000 on the G3 Prix de Lutece winner on September 1 Master Gatsby (Fr) (The Gray Gatsby {Ire}). The 3-year-old pony is located outside the Moonee Valley (Fr) (Aqlaam {GB}) of the Group 3 heroine and is carried through the ring by Fabrice Chappet.

They also chose lot 9, the winning lot Trop Prete (Fr) (Intello {Ger}), granddaughter of GI Breeders’ Cup heroine Juvenile Fillies Halfbridled (Unbridled) from Wertheimer & Frere for €250,000; and lot 45 of Didier Guillemin, stallion Dabirsim (Fr) Making Moovies (Fr), who pegged at €410,000. The latter has been in the group company three times and is also second in the September 2 Prix Millkom List as a sophomore.

Sam Wright won the double Top scorer Group 3 Rocchigiani (GB) (Check the time {GB}) for an amazing €575,000 from Peter Schiergen’s shipment near the end of the trading day. Sold in lots of 43, the 3-year-old son of German shortlist winner Ronja (El Corredor) entered the Queen Elizabeth II S. G1 tournament in Ascot on QIPCO British Championship Day. He’s also half-brother to list winner Ross (Ire) (Acclamation {GB}).

Dubawi (Ire) 5 year old skin cream Dilawar (Ire) (lot 38) caught the eye of Oliver St Lawrence, who paid 500,000 euros to buy the famous G3 Prix Quincey 2021 car. This period, the son of G1 Dubai Sheema Classic winner Dolniya (Fr) (Azamour {Ire) }) finished second in the G2 Prix du Muguet and then the G3 Prix Bertrand du Breuil on 16 September.
