Tessuti Di Sondrio bets on Orange Yarn, making tea and Cordura

Tessuti di Sondrio, a company of the Marzotto Group specializing in the production of natural fibers, has launched the eco-friendly Heart for Earth fabric collection for S/S 2024.

Part of the collection are fabrics made in collaboration with Orange Fiber, a company that has patented and produced the first textile fiber extracted from citrus waste. This new fabric is 100% natural and completely sustainable, derived from citrus by-products that would otherwise have to be discarded.

The orange fiber is obtained by giving a second life to the wet waste remaining at the end of the orange juice production process, removed from the amount used and reused in cosmetics, and treated. and converted into cellulose for textiles and then into fibers.

The result is a fabric in neutral colors, a blend of cotton and linen, ready for clothes that are beautiful and care about the future of the planet.
