“I am focused, determined, disciplined,” Teofimo Lopez told Max on boxing. “I was undefeated on the scale 188 times. I’m here to shock the world once again.

“I feel the best right now. Those last three, four lbs killed me [to make weight at 135]. So all it takes is don’t worry about it and take my time on things, and focus on what will be the best period for me. That’s a 140 lb split right now.

“I look at it like this. The older they get, the harder they fall and the better they look. I’m more of a crowd entertainer than anything. The knockout is coming.

“I have power in both hands; I’m quick, I’m smart in the ring, as you can see from my last performance against Vasily Lomachenko outside of Kambosos.

“I am focused and determined and want to give everyone a spectacular performance.

“It’s not stupid at all,” Teofimo said when asked if being hit by Thor led to physical problems when fighting Kambosos.

“I should have called Duane Rock Johnson to hit me in the stomach. I am a crazy kid. That’s what it is. I always take risks. It’s not because of what Thor did. That’s because the amount fluctuates in weight.

“The drops and the drops, the drops keep going down to 135. I’ve been fighting at 135 since I was 14 years old. So that’s basically ten years in that weight class. Of course, it will affect your body.

“I’m happy now at 140. I feel great, my energy is on the roof and let’s give everyone a show. This is not a take back. This is the takeover x 2. See this crown here; it says, ‘Five times.’ I’m looking to be a ten-time champion in two different divisions.

“I did it at 135, and now I’m looking forward to 140. Basically, my main goal is to be the undisputed two-time world champion. That’s how we do it.

“There are people who like Josh Taylor. I know they’re lined up with WBC for Pedraza and Prograis. So these are the matches that are going to be in the near future, and we will definitely take it out there and show you guys to make these matches a reality.

“That’s what the fans want and need,” Teofimo said.
