Teddi Mellencamp shows melanoma surgery scars & health updates – Hollywood Life

camp Teddi Mellen On the way to repair! The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum, 41, has shared photos of the scars she has from melanoma treatment and told fans the surgery was a success for her Instagram on Wednesday, December 7. She revealed that 11 melanomas and 3 lymph nodes have been successfully removed and she is progressing very well.

Teddi shows the scars on her left shoulder after the surgery as well as another photo of her back before the surgery. She explains her test results and surgery (and reminds her followers to get mammograms regularly). “The surgeries were successful and the boundaries were clear. I also got the genetic test results and there are no mutations that we need to worry about. And I just had a healthy mammogram,” she said. “Hello a new sense of peace.”

Teddi continued and said that she will be checked regularly to make sure that her health is in top shape. “Now I will continue to be checked every four to six weeks, as my doctor says this could be a record number in a field. You know I’m competitive but this is a record I don’t want to beat,” she said.

While previously RHOBH The star continued to thank fans for their support, and encouraged them to take their health seriously and go for regular check-ups. “I want nothing more than for all of you to be proactive so you don’t have to go through this. Let my scars be your inspiration for preventive care,” she says. “As always, thanks for all the love, support and well wishes. I feel so blessed and grateful for everything.”

Teddi goes public for the first time with her melanoma diagnosis in October. She shared that she discovered she had stage 2 melanoma during a visit to the doctor. Instagram post, where she called the diagnosis a “wake-up call” after not getting tested and not wearing sunscreen until she was 40. Immediately after the first announcement, she said that the doctors found many malignancies after running more tests on her mole. Thankfully, she now appears to be melanoma-free and will be in the best of health.
