It’s been a big couple of weeks for MultiVersuswith notice of a big Evo tournament a few days ago, the first gameplay demo with that announcement, and the game will enter a new round of closed alpha testing this week. But believe Warner Bros. brawler doesn’t stop there. Three other characters have been announced in the new cinematic trailer, and the timeframe for the upcoming open beta has been revealed.
Looney Toons ‘Taz, the Tazmanian Devil, returns to the list with Scooby DooVelma’s and the Ferromagnetic Giant, well, Iron giant. All three characters make their first appearance in the trailer, which you can check out above, which features a host of unlikely WB characters like Batman and Shaggy teaming up to fight surprising duos other. Warner Bros. Games announced in a press release that Velma and Taz are playable in this week’s alpha test as two members of a 15-character roster. It looks like The Iron Giant will not enter the beta for now and will be saved at a later date.
A later date is like an open beta, perhaps? Along with the new trailer and characters is the announcement of an open beta in July. So if you can’t get into the closing alpha, you’ll only have to wait a couple of weeks to get into the wacky fight.
