Mayor Eric Adams is reacting to the re-aired attack footage of Diddy and shares whether he’s considering revoking the mogul’s keys to NYC.

Mayor Eric Adams speaks about the viral video of Diddy and his key to NYC
New York City Mayor sat down with PIX11 for a live interview on Monday, May 20. During the appearance, Adams was asked about “possibly rescinding” Diddy’s key to New York City.
Adams initially responded by sharing his reaction to Diddy’s resurfaced footage.
“I think we were all extremely disturbed when we saw the chilling video of the young girl being assaulted by him,” he said.
The mayor later explained that an honoree had never had his city keys revoked before. However, he and his team are “Now let’s sit down to see what the next steps will be.”
In response, the PIX11 news reporter asked if the mayor was actually considering taking Diddy’s keys back to NYC.
Adam then clarified his initial reaction.
“We are analyzing everything and the team will come back to me with a final decision,” he concluded.

Details of Diddy’s previous NYC honors
EQUAL Shade room previously reported, Diddy was given the key or symbolic honor to NYC on September 15, 2023. According to PIX11At the time, Mayor Adams reportedly said that “this honor is representative of all that Diddy has done for New York City.”
Additionally, the mayor reportedly mentioned Diddy’s millions of dollars in donations to the city and support of Black entrepreneurs.
“Sean Combs embodies the New York City attitude,” the mayor said. “A son of Harlem, Combs worked his way to the top, becoming a successful musical talent both in front of and behind the mic. Despite all his success, Sean has never forgotten where he came from.”
