Takumi Minamino: Monaco agree £15.5m deal for Liverpool midfielder | News about Transfer Center



Monaco have agreed a £15.5m (£18m) deal with Liverpool to sign Takumi Minamino.

Fees are £12.9 million (€15 million) initially plus £2.6 million (3 million euros) for add-ons.

Minamino, 27, signed for Red Bull Salzburg in 2020, and has played 55 times for Liverpool, scoring 14 goals.

Liverpool fixture: Reds start against Fulham

Liverpool kick off their 2022/23 Premier League campaign with a trip this afternoon to newly promoted Fulham on Saturday 6 August.

This will be the fourth consecutive season that Liverpool begin a new campaign with a Premier League rookie.

But then face Crystal Palace, Jurgen Klopp’s army will host Man Utd at Old Trafford on August 20.

September will feature away trips from both Everton and Chelsea in September and Liverpool will also face Arsenal and champions Man City on October 8 and 15 respectively.

Liverpool’s final game before the season halts for the winter World Cup will be against Southampton at Anfield on November 12 before returning to Aston Villa on Boxing Day.

The Reds then host arch-rivals United on March 4, before facing tough clashes over successive weekends at Man City (April 1) and against Arsenal at Anfield. (April 8), before the end of the season at Southampton.
