TAA Named Breeder’s Cup Post-Care Partner
The Post-Breed Care Alliance (TAA) will once again be named the Official Care Partner of the Breeders Cup World Championship on November 4-5 in Keeneland. The Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance is also an official charity of the Breeders’ Cup, along with the Race Track Chaplaincy of America and the Permanently Disability Jockeys Foundation, among others.
As a pre-seed sponsor, Breeders’ Cup has been a supporter of TAA since its founding 10 years ago, and the organization will be introducing the eponymous Class II race – formerly Marathon S. – on the championship card on Saturday.
“As a founding sponsor of the Thoroughbred Care Coalition, it gives Breeders ‘Cup tremendous pride in being able to present TAA as an Official Care Partner,” said Dora Delgado , Breeders’ Cup Executive Vice President and Director of Racing said. “The growth of TAA, both in terms of the number of accredited institutions and the amount of grants awarded, is a tremendous feat, and it seems only fitting to culminate in a century-old center stage. TAA’s 10th Anniversary at the World Championships.”
Racing fans can donate to the Thorough Care Alliance during the championship weekend by cashing a winning ticket on UnitedTote Systems’ self-service betting terminal. All contributions are tax deductible.
“I couldn’t think of a better place to end our 10th anniversary than the Breeders’ Cup World Championship,” said TAA President Jeffrey Bloom. “Breeders’ Cup’s continued recognition and support has been instrumental in driving TAA’s growth, which is necessary to further our mission to help fund retired racehorses. We are honored to be called up for another year as Official Care Partners at the World Championships in Equestrianism. “
