Sylvester Stallone on Arnold Schwarzenegger, his family reality show and his growing ‘jacuzzi list’ | Ents & Arts News


In a career spanning more than five decades, Sylvester Stallone landed her first scripted television role with the new show Tulsa King.

And stars told Sky News that he definitely sees filmmaking as different from filmmaking, admitting that it’s hard work at times.

The 76-year-old had been in the business for years when he rose to fame as Rocky Balboa in the 1976 boxing film of the same name, kicking off the series that still exists today with Creed 3 coming out. in March next year.

He says the secret to his longevity in business is his attitude – which also led to his overt friendship that became his rival with action star Arnold Schwarzenegger.

“I’m doing a reality show because my life is so weird,” he revealed.

“I have a wife and dogs and kids, and I think you know what? Let me do it. It’s like a [trip down] memory lane.

“You know you want to show them movies at home? So the kids remember? I wanted to do something like that – not for the money, I just wanted to do it to remember.”

After conquering Hollywood and now turning his attention to television, you might think the next Stallone might be ready to consider retirement.

But instead, he says there are still plenty of other things on his bucket list.

“Well, it’s really a bathtub list, it’s getting bigger, it’s not even a bucket – that’s fine.

“Yes, we’re getting into this list, like, the jacuzzi list.”

In Tulsa King, his character is a mafia man sent to Tulsa, not somewhere usually associated with mob crime.

It’s a typical out-of-water fish story, but even though his character may be out of his comfort zone, it seems like as long as Stallone is at work, he’s enjoying himself.

Tulsa King premieres on Paramount+ on Monday.
