Skyguide spokesman Vladi Barrosa told Tagesanzeiger news site that the problem appeared to be caused by a hardware failure and that they did not believe their systems had been hacked. The company later announced that “Technical glitch at Skyguide has been resolved“and the airspace closure was lifted at 08:30 (06:30 GMT).
