Surround Sound Supported Apple TV and Fire TV devices for YouTube TV


You can now enjoy surround sound while streaming YouTube TV content on your Apple TV and Fire TV devices. Like The Verge Reportedly, the streaming TV service has expanded the list of devices that support its shows and movies with 5.1 audio after rolling out the capability to Android TV, Google TV, and Roku devices last month. 6. YouTube TV first start testing 5.1-channel audio for the first three devices in March, and promises to work on support for Apple TV and Fire TV devices, as well as for game consoles. YouTube TV’s “nerd stats” will be displayed at the beginning of the video and will show AC-3 / EAC-3 in the codec if surround sound is available.
