Summer Game Festival confirmed for June 9 and you can watch it in IMAX
Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Day has a date, and it’s June 9.
Keighley published for the first time event back in March, almost immediately after Cancellation of E3 2022 made rounds. The Summer Game Festival begins at 11 a.m. Pacific / 2 p.m. Eastern, including a live show kick off.
In addition to streaming everywhere, you can watch Summer Game Fest live in IMAX theaters for the first time. Tickets will go on sale next week. The new partnership extends to Keighley’s other major event, The Game Awards, which will also be showcased at IMAX this December.

Naturally, Keighley didn’t announce which games will be at the show, but the IMAX montage showcases upcoming games like Starfield, Sonic Frontiers, Star Wars Eclipseand Callisto . protocol. Before you get too excited, that shot might just be for the hot reel and doesn’t indicate what will actually be shown.
E3 may not be happening, but the summer game event schedule is starting to take shape. Focus on Independent of Double Fine and Iam8bit Developer’s Day starting on June 9, The Tribeca Games Spotlight airs on June 10, and the Xbox & Bethesda Showcase is recently confirmed for June 12.
