SUMMER 2022 Q&A – Atlantic-Pacific Ocean

Every few months here on the Atlantic-Pacific, I like to answer some of the new questions (and a few repeats) that I receive via comments, email, and direct message. Today I am answering some of your most recently asked questions! You can also view older Q&A posts here, hereand here as well as access more of my FAQ articles below. If I don’t answer your question this time, please get in touch!

How do you achieve your low bun? See my tutorial here.

What is your daily makeup routine? See it here.

How did you start blogging? Read about it here.

How and when did you get into the fashion industry? You can read all about it here.

Q: What are your favorite places in the Sarasota area?

A: For my favorite dinner Owen Fish Farm, Seaside (both locations), Whitney’s, Spearfish Grille (super normal) and Libby’s! Great coffee spots are Overton and Project Coffee. Want a great cheese board paired with a glass of wine? Look at Artisan Cheese Company. While most people venture to Florida and want fresh fish, if you’re in the mood for more Italian, my favorites are NapulĂ© and Mediterraneo. I try and update all my suggestions on Absence application!

Q: The best ribbed tops and white t-shirts for summer?

A: I really just did a little post about my favorites’Daily Basics ‘here’. This tank This is my current favorite – I own it in both white and black. This Tee is my favorite tee for the summer. It’s liquid, super soft and has a great open neckline.

Q: Do you have any other works by Lele Sadoughi in the works?

A: We haven’t *officially* announced anything but we are releasing a small but powerful summer capsule, which I think you’ll like. I’ll share more when we have certain dates! Meanwhile, you can buy what’s left of the last partnership here and here.

Q: Do you ever get tired of creating content?

A: I love my job and what I do – and a lot of it is creating content. While I won’t say that I get tired of creating content, I do. Content creation cycles have accelerated and become even more demanding as new aspects of social media, like video and streaming, have been born. It’s a balance between embracing new things while maintaining the content I always create, such as websites, static images, social media, etc. I’ve always focused on fashion and style (the thing that I never get tired of) and I always try to remind myself that at the core of my work is fashion and I’m always excited about that. So even though I can sometimes get burned out by the volume, I still love my job!

Q: Favorite color trio?

A: The short answer is that they change all the time! At this exact moment, I would say they come in orange and pink, green and blue, and black and brown!

Q: What do you like to do in your free time?

A: Read, run and do anything related to home. I took a long break from serious reading but came back to it during the pandemic and I found it to be a great outlet for me. Here are the books I’ve read this year ranked IMO in order from best to worst. I’m a bit behind my target, but still reading more than I ever have!

Patient is silent

Five people you meet in heaven

Worryers

Greenwich Park

Girl on the train

Practice

Good night

If you say

Just one look

Little secret

Wish you passed

Perfect mother

History of wild places

Q: A favorite look from your early blogging days?

A: Every year, I usually recap all my favorite looks and this lesson is looking back at 2011. I feel like this era is a quirky, colorful, layered Blair and I love seeing my 25-year-old experiment with fashion, take risks and enjoy myself. So while not necessarily having a look is my favorite – this time in the Atlantic-Pacific is interesting for me to look back on.

Q: Favorite things you bought recently?

ONE: These shoes, this fun bathing suit I have worn as a top and replacement filter for my Dyson. Vacuuming is one of my favorite chores to do around the house. When I need a mental break, I vacuum so I still feel like I’m being productive while at the same time zoning out. So excited to replace my filter this week!

Q: Do you save money?

A: I can’t say that I’m a frugal person, but I like to shop second hand when I can. Local here in Sarasota Classic canned cold cuts great. When I’m on the hunt for a hard-to-find item online, I buy a ton of second-hand items from The Real Real, Poshmark, and Ebay.

Q: Do you have any interesting swimming recommendations?

A: Of course! Right now I’m in love Andrea Iyamah, Swimming Bahai Maria, Maygel Coronaland Zara!
