Stranger Things star Joseph Quinn performs Master Of Puppets with Metallica at Lollapalooza
Metallic legend Metallica made the news on the first night of Lollapalooza 2022 at Chicago’s Grant Park on Thursday.
And while the band has played many of their most famous hits like Enter Sandman, Nothing Else Matters and One, they will end the rehearsal with a vibrant rendition of the Master Of Puppets, complete with guest appearances. Stranger Things character played by Eddie Munson. big screen behind them.
The clip was taken from the season 4 finale of the hit show, where Eddie, played by 29-year-old Joseph Quinn, chopped up a version of the song.

The love affair between Metallica and Stranger Things doesn’t end there, as Quinn will retreat backstage before their standout performance and meet the band, and then actually appear on Master Of Puppets.
The meet, greet and encounter were all captured in a video posted on Metallica’s Instagram page.
“Hey, I’m backstage at Lollapalooza to meet Metallica,” Quinn says at the beginning of the video.
Pumped: The actor, 29, who plays Eddie Munson in the fourth season of Stranger Things, was pumped for the meeting and get-together before the band performed at the Lollapalooza stage in Chicago.
The British-born actor then introduced himself to each of the band members including James Hetfield (vocals, guitar), Lars Ulrich (drums), Kirk Hammett (guitar) and Robert Trujillo (bass).
It didn’t take long before Hetfield confessed he was a big Stranger Things fan.
“I’m a huge fan of it and have been since season one,” he told Quinn, who was more than supportive of him.

The band’s leader added, ‘My kids and I; it was a bonding experience. ‘
“Thank you for allowing us to use this track,” Quinn said of the Stranger Things finale featuring Eddie Munson chopping up Master Of Puppets.
‘By the way, thanks for doing it fairly. You certainly did,’ Hetfield said again, referring to his performance.

At this point, the band’s bassist, Robert Trujillo (second right), suggests that they all go together, so Quinn confesses he might be rusty and needs a lesson.
Quinn goes on to reveal that Metallica is all he’s been listening to for the past two years
“Yea, I feel very attached to you guys,” the actor added.
At this point, Trujillo suggests that they all go together, to which Quinn confesses that he ‘can be rude and needs a lesson.’
The script switches to the tuning room where Ulrich leads and tells Quinn he’s going to count four and go straight to the Master Of Puppets prologue.
The actor focused on certain points, and then all smiled as he lived up to his rock and roll dream.

After an impressive performance, Hetfield shouts, ‘Your hire’, Ulrich follows suit and stares into the camera to announce that ‘Metallica is now a five piece guy’.
The band proceeded to present the actor with a guitar that they would all sign.
The video ends with Metallica pieces that rocked Lollapalooza’s first night.
‘Nice to see you again, @josephquinn,’ the band wrote in the caption of the Instagram post. ‘Thanks for coming to join us backstage at @lollapalooza.’
