Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal said today a “storm of change” is sweeping through Gujarat and his party will form the next government. Speaking before a rally in Bhavnagar, Mr. Kejriwal said people in Gujarat are tired after 27 years in power by the BJP and are eager to vote for the AAP.

Mr. Kejriwal is currently on a two-day visit to the state where parliamentary elections are expected later this year.

Citing a purported report from the Intelligence Bureau (IB), the Delhi chief said: “I have brought you good news. According to the IB report, AAP will form the next government in Gujarat. It is predicted that it will be a close fight, with AAP winning about 92-93 seats, but we will get about 150 seats.”

He added that voting for Congress would be a total waste as the party is likely to win only ten seats and even those MLAs will move to the BJP.

Getting to know Prime Minister Narendra Modi closely, the AAP leader said that in Vadodara, he had seen some children holding up slogans in support of Mr. “When I asked them why they were holding up the slogan, they said they get paid for it, but would vote for AAP,” he said.

Mr. Kejriwal, AAP’s National Association, said the withdrawal of all misconduct cases against agitated government employees in the state by December 31, 2022, is the first item on the agenda. the AAP, if it comes to power.
