Stephen A. Smith Appears on SHERRI And make the bold reveal earlier today
Sports broadcasters appear on SHERRI this morning. And being questioned by the host about the performance during the upcoming break Sherris the Shepherd.
Shepherd asked Smith: “Are you excited about this mid-show performance?
Smith answered.
I don’t want to say I’m not excited – she’s amazing. That’s not where I would go with this. Ladies and gentlemen, she is a lot of things. She is truly breathtaking – And congrats to the new mom… There’s one thing she’s not! She’s not Beyoncé.
Shepherd and the audience were immediately shocked by Smith’s statement. But he continued to explain his stance.
The only reason I mention Beyoncé is because Beyoncé recently performed at the Super Bowl… and without Bruno Mars and Coldplay.
Shepherd went on to explain that while that’s true, Beyoncé “had her time”. And now Rihanna’s. Smith refuted by explaining that his comments mean nothing to Rihanna and that she is still a great artist. But he believes that “there [are] level” to talent.
Rihanna’s music is amazing. She is great. She is a sister. I love her dearly, I listen to her music, I will support her until the cows come home. I’m just telling you, for me, there is Beyoncé and there are others. Just like yes Michael Jackson and everyone else.
Shepherd ended the segment by telling Smith that Rihanna’s performance might surprise him. And she will wait and see.
