Steam Puzzle Fest will offer discounts and demos for puzzle games in April

steam supply discounts for builders last month, and is by offer cheap mystery from February 20 to 27. However, they have announced a sale dedicated to the next category: Steam Puzzle Fest that will take place in the last week of April.
April 24 to May 1, according to notice. “Join us as we crack codes, find missing pieces, and arrange elements in Steam Puzzle Fest. With discounts and demos for current and upcoming games, the This event is for games that focus on the spirit of puzzle solving.”
As always, the announcement is more for developers than eager shoppers like us. If you’re a puzzle game maker, you can check the eligibility criteria and submit your game for inclusion. Including, in this case, means being featured on the Puzzle Fest page and streams, and eligibility applies to released and unreleased games and demos, as long as is that they have “puzzle solving as the main game mechanic”.
I debated whether to illustrate this post with Infinite hexcells or Opus Magnum, so I went with both. Hexcells is the kind of puzzle game that puts me in a state of flow – or perhaps a state of escape – and I’ve been playing it for dozens of hours without even realizing how much time is passing. Is that a recommendation? I’m not sure. Meanwhile, the Opus Magnum made me feel as though I had attained a higher level of consciousness, a level where I could understand and play a game of Zachtronics. That is definitely a recommendation.
Will either of these games be discounted during the sale? No idea, but one can hope.
