Many families and tourists are getting their dream vacation, weddingand a birthday trip quickly turns into a nightmare after they book a cruise through Destiny Travel NY. The families believe that the company and its owners, Tavia Thomasstole their money and then canceled the trip without even booking a plane ticket. Furthermore, they allege they were not given a refund.
Tavia Thomas has since denied the claims and an investigation is underway.

Carter initially spoke to Denise Perez-Horton. She plans to have an overseas wedding in Mexico with a guest list of 80 people. Furthermore, the balance for the trip is expected to be divided among the group. And full payment 45 days before departure.
“The final payment came and I thought, ‘Okay, where’s the booking number?’” Perez-Horton called Carter back. “… She said, ‘Well, the resort had a kid get electrocuted in the pool… and they had mold and…’ downplaying the importance of the resort, and I said, ‘What? What’s going on?
According to Carter, the group’s reservation has been moved to another resort. Despite this apparent determination, Perez-Horton and her guests are said to have still not received confirmation of their flights. When she later called the resort, Perez-Horton learned that the business “never” received their booking.
“And I just said, ‘Why? Why? Why don’t you have it? Perez-Horton recalls.

According to Perez-Horton, her and her guests’ money was transferred directly to Thomas’ bank account. To make matters worse, her wedding was also cancelled.
“She’s doing this with tweets, and the crazy thing is she’s only doing this to Black people,” Perez-Horton told Carter.
