Starliner separates from ISS and returns to Earth without crew
Boeing’s Starliner spacecraft has returned to Earth without any astronauts on board.
NASA astronauts Barry Wilmore and Sunita Williams were aboard the spacecraft’s first manned test flight, but issues have forced NASA to delay their return from the International Space Station (ISS) until February 2025 – on a separate spacecraft.
Starliner separated from the ISS before making its six-hour flight back to Earth. It re-entered the atmosphere and used a parachute to slow its descent, before touching down at White Sands Space Harbor in New Mexico.
