Star Rail version 2.7 bids farewell to Penacony on December 4 – PlayStation.Blog
Dear pioneers, greetings Honkai: Star Railway development team! It’s been a while, but today we’re excited to bring you more information about version 2.7, A New Adventure into the Eighth Dawn coming December 4th, the final chapter before Astral Express sets its sights on the mysterious realm of Amphoreus, known as the Eternal Lands. This update concludes our Penacony chapter and makes way for a new story in version 3.0.
In the previous story arc, the Black Swan proposed that the Crew venture to Amphoreus – a realm so mysterious that even Trailblaze’s Aeon, Akivili, could never reach it. Curious but cautious, Navigator Himeko decided to gather all available information about this destination. Meanwhile, the Crew makes a final stop in Penacony, reuniting with old friends and creating unforgettable memories in a final farewell before they embark on their next daring journey.
Old friends return to the spotlight
The memory of that performance at the Penacony Opera House is as vivid as yesterday. It’s not just Astral Express or Penacony that are awakened from their dreams – Sunday is too. Looking back, there was something extremely emotional about standing on stage with Mr. Sunday again. Abandoning his role as head of the Oak Family, he was chosen to “Descend to the mortal world and walk their lands. Let’s see what this world is really like.” Casting aside the blessings of both Harmony and Order, Sunday began to pursue his vision of a utopia as a mortal. This time, he returns to Penacony, enlisting the help of a secret Pepeshi named Wonweek, with one wish: to have an unforgettable final performance before starting his new journey. Accordingly, the cape and hood not only give him a fresh look but also hide his true identity during the final dance in Festival Planet.
As a 5-star Fantasy character, Sunday has a unique Support ability, and his Skills cause allies to immediately take action and increase the damage dealt to them. If that ally has a Summon, both the ally and the Summon can act immediately and further improve the DMG Increase effect. When Sunday uses his ultimate, he regenerates Energy to an ally and summons that ally with it – The Beatified. An aura is bestowed on an ally who becomes a Saint and increases their CRIT DMG.
Another upcoming character is Fugue, who we know as his old friend Tingyun. Once a skillful fox girl, now her name, appearance, and even identity have been stolen. However, fate left her with a faint glimmer of hope, even though the mark of Destruction still stirred constantly within her. Tingyun narrowly escaped death after an encounter with Phantylia in the main story of version 1.2 and was only saved thanks to the intervention of Madam Ruan Mei from the Genius Association, who gave her a second chance at life. Recently, Himeko and Welt visited Madam Ruan Mei and took Miss Tingyun home herself, starting her journey back to where she belongs.
Fugue is a 5-star Fire character whose skill buffs an ally to reduce Toughness regardless of the enemy’s Weakness. While Fugue is on the battlefield, enemy targets will be affected by the Cloudflame Luster status. When Cloudflame Luster drops to 0, the target will receive Break DMG again. Furthermore, when allies attack an enemy Weakness Broken target, they will deal Super Break DMG. And that’s not all – Fugue can use his Techniques to increase the Break Effects of allied characters. When she uses her ultimate, she deals Fire DMG to all enemies, and this attack instance ignores the Weakness Type to directly reduce the Toughness of all enemies.
In addition, the 5-star limited characters General Jing Yuan and Firefly will return in the first and second half of the version 2.7 warp event, respectively. Their formidable support makes them invaluable allies for your future journeys.
