The reveal included a comment from Red XIII, who humorously described Aerith’s swimsuit as “twirling like a conch”. Floral Soleil is one of the many alternate costumes available in The Rebirth of Final Fantasy VIIexpands the game’s focus on character customization and new aesthetic options for the main cast.
In related news, it was previously revealed that Aerith is first character generated for original Final Fantasy VII. Originally, her features were similar to Tifa’s, but the development team decided to differentiate them into two separate characters. Aerith’s new design emphasizes a pastel color palette, with a pink dress and short jacket, and her hair tied up in a signature ponytail. This was done in response to Tifa, who also had a ponytail but was tied loosely at the end, giving her a more distinct silhouette.
