Square Enix announced its upcoming line of books and manga at New York Comic Con 2024, and they include Dragon Quest: Erdric’s Mark and Hololive Holoearth Chronicles Side: E Yamato Phantasia comic series. Both will launch in 2025. Along with that, five other books and manga will appear in 2025 and 2026.
the Holoearth Chronicles Side: E Yamato Phantasia manga starring Hololive Vtuber Ookami Mio and Shirakami Fubuki. It started running back in 2021, and it appeared in both Japanese and English when available. This is not about real Vtubers and their adventures. Rather, it is based on an alternate reality in which the two have unique abilities which they use to save Yamato, often against enemies inspired by other Vtubers like Nakiri Ayame. That first episode is coming out in August 2025.
First episode of Dragon Quest: Erdric’s Mark The manga will follow later in the series September 2025. The series originally launched in Japan in 1991. There, it was known as Dragon Quest Saga: Roto’s Symbol. It is the sequel to Dragon Quest III and followed Prince Arus. The series follows his journey to face the new demon lord.
