Spurs add Keldon Johnson, Derrick White to protocols


The San Antonio Spurs reportedly made a series of moves on Thursday to address their recent issues with COVID-19.

Wojnarowski also reports that Spurs have security sign Tyler Johnson contract for 10 days. San Antonio currently holds 10th place in the Western Conference at 15-22 and play the Philadelphia 76ers at 7 p.m. ET on Friday.

Keldon Johnson second second in points (14.7) and minutes per game (30.9), while Derrick White is second in assists (5.5) and steals per game (1.2) and third on scoring (14,5).

Tyler Johnson has scored 9.9 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game 351 career competitions, including 3.7 points and 2.0 rebounds per game in three games against the Philadelphia 76ers this season. Anthony Lamb played unsuccessfully in 2020, spending time with the Detroit Pistons organization last season and was subsequently selected by the NBA G League’s Canton Charge in the G League draft.

Lamb was traded to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers in February 2021 and was subsequently named G League’s Most Improved Player. Lamb signed a two-way contract with the Houston Rockets in March 2021 and competed 24 contests with the team last season, averaging 5.5 points, 2.9 rebounds and 17.3 minutes per game.
