‘Split my skull’: Gary Busey reveals his horrific traumatic brain injury – subdural hematoma

This is a malignant tumor that occurs in the soft tissue, normally around the joints.

According to the NHS, they are less likely to develop on the trunk, head, neck or abdomen.

The Pacific Institute of Neuroscience explains that surgeries to remove these tumors often involve removing one eye or removing the nose.

However, Busey had his doctor perform a new type of surgery, called endo-scope-assisted surgery – which means removing the tumor through a small instrument, aided by a small camera.

“I would be Dr. Griffiths’ first patient using this new technology, but he assured me he could save my face,” Busey recalls.

“He doesn’t blink when he talks to me, which gives me confidence.”
