Special Edition 2023 TVS Apache RTR 160 4V launched for ₹1.31 lakh

TVS Motor Company has launched a new special version of the Apache RTR 160 4V. It costs $1.30.090 (former showroom, Delhi) and is now available at all authorized dealers. The Apache RTR 160 4V is aesthetically as well as mechanically upgraded over the standard Apache RTR 160 4V. It also has some new features first in the segment. The motorcycle will be sold in Matte Black Special Edition paint and the new Pearl White color joins the lineup.

There are also other cosmetic changes such as red and black alloy wheels. The saddle is finished in two colors black and red. Moreover, it has a new model. There are also adjustable brake and clutch levers for the first time in the segment.

In terms of mechanical change, Apache RTR 160 4V Comes with a new exhaust. TVS call it ‘Bullpup Exhaust’ and it’s supposed to sound better. It also helps to reduce weight by 1 kg.
The engine is still the same. So it’s a 159.7 cc, oil-cooled, SOHC engine, fuel injected. It produces the best output power in the segment of 17.30 hp at 9,250 rpm and maximum torque of 14.73 Nm at 7,250 rpm, mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
There are three driving modes offered – Urban, Sport and Rainy. In Urban and Rainy modes the top speed is limited to 103 km/h while in Sport mode the top speed is increased to 114 km/h. TVS also offers SmartXonnect which is Bluetooth connectivity. The instrument cluster can also display a gear shift indicator in addition to other common information. The LED headlights have been updated with new LED daytime running lights.
Braking duties on the motorcycle are performed by a 270 mm petal disc at the front and a 200 mm petal disc at the rear. The twin rack frame is suspended by a telescopic fork at the front and a single shock absorber at the rear.
