Safety is probably the second most frequently discussed topic on the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps at the moment, after compensation for the spectators of the F1 race 2021, it has stopped raining. The 24-hour round of the FIM Endurance World Championships is scheduled to take place at Spa next June. The improvements will improve safety for any category racing at the venue.

The viaduct area is being expanded at La Nguon with a gravel trap installed in the new area. In addition, the stand on the straight line from La Source to Eau Rouge was demolished to be replaced with more modern audience seating.
