Southlawn upsets Fair Grounds Oaks

south lawn (f, 3, Pioneerof the Nile–Mo d’Amour, by Uncle Mo), an eight-length option claim winner on the run at the Fair Grounds in her sophomore debut February 17, went home with an impressive run to disappoint. Saturday’s GII Fair Grounds Oaks.
Pulled into the fence, a 7-1 chance dragged the field of five into the corner of the clubhouse. Southlawn went superbly in fourth place inside in the backseat and set her sights on the two leads as they headed straight.
