Police arrested two men and called her to inform them that they would send a woman officer to take her statement, she added.

“I tried my best not to escalate the situation. He started grabbing my waist and pulling me into his motorbike. I didn’t feel comfortable and said I wasn’t comfortable,” she said. and added that they tried to track her down and also asked for her phone number. “I gave them a fake phone number, so they would leave,” she said.

The Korean woman, who can be seen flustered in the video clip, said she tried her best not to escalate the situation because two men harassed her.

However, she had no experience of terror against the country. “This happens everywhere, not just in India. Indians are just as beautiful as other parts of the world,” she said.

She said that she is satisfied and happy with the actions of the Mumbai Police, as she has encountered similar situations in other countries where there were no consequences.

“I’m not leaving India, I’m not going to let this ruin my trip,” she said, adding that she met many “wonderful” people in the country.

In a video shared online, one of the defendants is seen pulling the YouTuber’s arm as she yelled “no, no”, in Mumbai’s Khar last night.

The video shows the man approaching her and holding her hand despite her protests.

As she left, he reappeared with another man on a bicycle and offered her a ride. The woman denied it and told them in broken English that her house was nearby.

The woman shared the video from her Twitter account and wrote: “Last night while streaming, a guy harassed me. I tried my best not to escalate the situation and left because of him. he was going with his friend. And some people said it was started by me being too friendly and engaging in conversation. Made me rethink streaming.”

Police have self-registered a video-based sexual assault case. The defendants have been identified as Mobeen Chand Mohd Shaikh, 19, and Mohd Naqib Sadarialam Ansari, 20.

“Khar Police Station of Mumbai Police took action against Suo Moto in an incident that happened with a Korean woman (foreigner) in the jurisdiction of Khar West. In this regard, both two defendants have been arrested and prosecuted under relevant sections of the IPC,” Mumbai Police said in a tweet.
