Sonic 3 director teases another character at the end of the film
Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (the movie, not the game) will be released quickly in theaters on the day December 21 and it looks like director Jeff Fowler has laid the groundwork for what’s to come.
Both in 2020 Sonic the Hedgehog and its 2022 sequel ended by introducing a character who will play a major role in the sequel — Tails the first and Shadow the second — and it looks like the third installment will be no different.
In a new interview with Weekly entertainmentFowler teased, “This movie is no different in terms of teasing new characters” and “We all have our favorites in filmmaking.”
According to Fowler, the behind-the-camera conversations are similar to the speculation you’d find online, but he naturally wants to “keep that anticipation alive” until the film hits theaters next month.
You’ll find his full comments below:
It’s interesting to see fans arguing online about who will be next, who will be teased at the end of the movie. We have a lot of the same conversations. We all have our favorites in filmmaking and we’re all making great cases for ‘it has to be this or that.’ It’s fun to keep that anticipation alive. This movie is nothing more than teasing new characters.
Gahand there we were hoping that Fowler would cough up a name! Amy feels like the last one huge The character has yet to make it to the big screen, but plenty of potential Sonic cameos are a deep character, so we’re not ready to rule anyone out just yet.
At the time of writing, there is no official confirmation that ‘Sonic the Hedgehog 4‘ is happening at Paramount, but given the success of the first two films, we think it’s safe to say that the third installment will also attract a large audience. Well, teasing another movie seems like a good bet.
