Something suspicious is going on in Splatoon 3’s upcoming Big Run event
It’s time for Splatoon 3 players to get together for some Salmonid splashes, as Nintendo has announced the date of its upcoming Big Run co-op event.
Big Run will take place from December 10-12 and watch Splatoon 3The Salmonid town of Splatsville, fish-breed creatures seen in Salmon Run’s existing co-op mode, is overrun by the Salmonids.
While little is known about the actual contents of the special mode, there’s a lot that can be gleaned from the promotional images seen on Nintendo’s Twitter page.
We are all here together
We’ll Need a Bigger Slosher..Salmon arrives in Splatsville when Big Run, the brand new #Splatoon3 collaboration, runs from Dec 9 at 4pm PT to 4pm on Dec 11 Pacific Time! Gather your team – time it and do some Salmon Runs today! pic.twitter.com/MbfrvpixrRNovember 29, 2022
Where Salmon Run offers similar patterns to the flag capture scenario, pitting up to four players against a swarm of Salmonids as they attempt to obtain golden eggs, it seems that Big Run’s goal is a bit different.
The promotional images in Nintendo’s official announcement depict the Squid King holding a golden salmon. This could refer to another collection or trophy in the game, perhaps with just one per team of four to increase the bet by just that much.
We know that Wahoo World is the first area of Splatsville that you must defend from a Salmonid invasion and that players will be able to join their co-op team from December 10 in just a few short days. .
Big Run will mark the first of Splatoon 3’s Chill Season 2022 productions, the rest of which have been revealed in upcoming patch notes (opens in a new tab). Judging from these, some of the main highlights include fifty new items found in the shop, three new weapons, and a new level of Salmon Run titled Marooner’s Bay.
