Someone designed Lego PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and our wallet is ready

A very creative person has designed Lego versions of the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, and while they are not available for purchase at the moment, they may be one day.

Twitter user BrickinNick reveal the two proof-of-concept Lego sets today with a stylish video and it turns out, with enough support, these things can become a reality. That’s thanks to Lego Ideas, a unique Lego program where users can submit project concepts like the Lego new-generation console and request support. With enough backing, Lego can bring these concept kits to life. That support is what BrickinNick is asking for on Twitter and showing it requires just creating a Lego Ideas account and clicking support. BrickinNick says 10,000 backers can help turn this project into a Lego set, so if you like what you see, help him.

It is on every page (PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X) so you can get a better look at each Lego construction, which is where you’ll see that BrickinNick has gone a step further and designed the interior of each building in a way that allows Lego or the user to build three Lego sets. Smaller video games are displayed inside (or stand alone).

As you might expect, these Lego sets look almost exactly like the real thing, of course with a light touch for more blocks. And while they are still in concept form, it may be easier to buy one than if you own a new generation console at the moment. Both come with matching Lego controller sets and a special stand so the controller can sit when not being held.

BrickinNick writes in the description of Lego Ideas: “Bringing the PS5 to life as Lego bricks in 1:1 scale is a pretty boring thing. “It’s intricate curves, angles and vents made for an incredibly difficult build, but it all comes together so well. [we agree!]. All buttons, ports and other details can be found exactly where you would expect them to be. And to take the whole build to the next level, I designed this build to unfold, revealing three video game scenes hidden within. Each scene can be easily removed from the panel to display them on their own”.

In terms of Xbox Series X, BrickinNick’s description is much the same: it’s a 1:1 scale build that opens to reveal three hidden video game scenes and more. The controllers on both even have a battery compartment that works with Lego batteries!

Here’s hoping he gets the support he needs as our wallet is ready.
