Global technology investor SoftBank Corporation is considering launching a new giant startup fund, part of a plan to turn the tide after poor performance at the previous two fundsaccording to people familiar with the discussions at the company.
The Tokyo-based tech conglomerate, by far the world’s biggest startup investor in recent years, is likely to use its own cash for the Vision Fund, some say. SoftBank third if it goes ahead of plan, some said.
