Society for International Menswear to Launch in New York City in July


US-based Wainscot Media is launching the International Men’s Clothing Association, a carefully curated showcase dedicated to a number of international contemporary and fashion brands, including sportswear, Tailor-made clothing, shoes and accessories. The new event is scheduled to premiere on July 17 and 18, 2022, in New York City at the Metropolitan Pavilion.

The International Men’s Clothing Association (or Society for short) heralds the return of a menswear trade event in New York City after a two-year absence due to the Covid pandemic. Industry veterans Lizette Chin and Coleman McCartan, both former executives of Informa Fashion, will manage the event under the umbrella of Wainscot Media, according to Wainscot Media.

“The timing of this show couldn’t be better, as Society will launch in July to coincide with the Spring/Summer shopping season for top retailers. The society aims to be the gateway for international brands that want to do business in the US market. Now is the right time, NYC is back, and the most important buyers are eager to return to this marketplace — to see, touch, and feel new products — and build new relationships. Society should be able to provide that for them,” Chin, VP and group publisher of the luxury group at Wainscotsaid in a statement.
