Snoop Dogg Comments On Drake & Kendrick Lamar’s Feud
In an exclusive interview with Tonight’s receptionWest Coast legend weighed in ongoing feud among hip hop stars.
The ‘Drop It Like It’s Hot’ musician told ET that he has nothing but love for both Drake and Kendrick. He gave props to both artists in their pen game but decided not to pick a side.
“Well, the only thing I want to say about that whole scenario is that I want to thank you both for raising the bar in terms of lyrics, in terms of songwriting and songwriting because writing has improved since the confrontation or whatever you call it, no matter what they’ve been through. Those are my grandchildren. I’m not in the middle of it. I support both and that is personal, not my business.” Snoop explains.
Before his response, fans knew that it would be difficult for Snoop to choose a side. They recall the fact that he performed with Kendrick during the Super Bowl LV halftime show in 2022. But just a few weeks ago, Drake used AI versions of Snoop and Tupac’s voices on his diss track for Kendrick titled ‘Taylor Made Freestyle’. However, Billboard reported that the Canadian rapper was forced to remove the single due to threats of lawsuits from Tupac’s estate.
Snoop reacts to Drake’s song Diss
Before giving an official response to the battle. Snoop actually reacted to Drake’s song ‘Taylor Made Freestyle’ on Instagram. As previously reported by The Shade Room, the ‘Baby Boy’ actor uploaded a video to the social platform seemingly responding to the record.
“What did they do? When? How? Are you sure?” Snoop said in the clip.
He finally sighed and then flashed the Death Row Records logo on his jacket.
“Sleep well everyone. And to all…” rapper Cali said before laughing. “Why is everyone calling my phone? Blow me away…what the hell? What happened? Snoop continued.
Now that the dust has settled between Drake and Kendrick, it’s nice to see Uncle Snoop holds no ill will toward either of them.
