Small Idea Aceman tries to get gamers’ Pokémon fans into EV
Mini and Pokémon Companies have worked together to create a new concept called Mini Concept Aceman with Pikachu Mode. The EV . concept debut at Gamescom this year, as Mini and Pokémon collaborations aimed at attracting young people. But it’s also a missed opportunity to call the crossover concept the Mini Aceman Pokéman. It was right there. Maybe next time, Mini.
Mini calls this Aceman Concept an evolution of concept it comes out in July. The new car is essentially the same all-electric crossover concept with outstanding graphics for the OLED screen in the cabin and a built-in external projector to play your favorite Pokémon movie, which I consider to be initial release of the Mewtwo attacks back and not an immoral person Netflix remake. Right?
When Aceman Mini Concept’s Pikachu Mode is enabled, the famous yellow Pokémon takes over the vehicle’s display and dashboard, shooting electricity out of its small body, then projecting it throughout the Mini’s cabin. There’s also a series of animated loops that serve as part of Pikachu Mode, the motif of which is a small electric-type Pokémon for an all-electric compact Mini.
The new external projector can also be used to play games through a connected console the Verge. That more or less matches the “Play On” theme and advertising campaign Mini is pushing with the EV. Now that the concept is hot at the Gamescom gaming convention, Mini has decorated the EV like a Pokémon display at your local Hot Topic.

Geez, it’s been a long time since I’ve been to a Hot Topic. And even though this EV is targeted at gamers and youths, Mini used footage from the original movie — released in 1999 in the U.S. — to showcase the exterior projector. It’s just funny that those who probably remember the film are older millennials like me.
And while I love both Mini and Pokémon, I don’t really love this new Aceman Concept. I would like to know how the new external projector affects the range of the EV concept, which is currently about 115 miles. Do I have to choose between taking it home for a fee? Or fight an ultimate fitness trainer while playing Pokémon on Nintendo Switch? Well, at least I won’t get bored waiting for a tow truck.
