Although it doesn’t attract much attention, Audi’s A6 is still one of the best looking cars in the mid-size sedan segment.
Now it’s about to be updated, and fortunately, it doesn’t look like the designers will care about the car’s styling.
The current A6 arrived in 2018 as a 2019 model. We expect the updated version to be revealed later this year or early next, most likely the 2024 model (a) 2023 Audi S6 was announced). The arrival of the updated A6 must precede the arrival of a New A6 E-Tron that Audi previewed in conceptual form at Auto Shanghai 2021. The electric A6 will debut in 2023, most likely a 2024 model as well.

Our latest spyshots show a prototype for an updated version of the regular A6, with the tester featuring new internals in the lights at both ends, along with new samples for the mesh. of the front grille and intakes. There is also a new design for the rear fender.
Similar tweaks will appear on updated versions of other members of the A6 family, including the Avant and Allroad wagons, and the performance duo S6 and RS 6.
It’s unclear what updates Audi has planned for the A6’s cabin and powertrain. Both are likely to get updated infotainment systems and more performance for some powertrains. The United States can finally get it A6 plug-in hybrid option offered overseas.

The basic powertrain in the US is currently a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder, with a capacity of 248 horsepower. Above is a 3.0-liter turbocharged V-6 engine with a capacity of 335 horsepower. Further up is the S6 with its 2.9-liter turbocharged V-6 with 444 hp and at the top of the range is the RS 6, available only in Avant form, with its 4.0-liter turbocharged V-8. 591 hp. The A6’s plug-in hybrid option, as mentioned above, is only available overseas, combining a 2.0-liter turbo-4 with an electric motor for a total of 367 hp.
