If you buy a headset, you only need to complete two assembly tasks: You need to secure the comfortable fabric straps in place to protect your head from the stiffer plastic edge, and you can choose to have an outgoing microphone connection included or not.
It’s a pity that there are currently no styling options other than the more expensive one Street Fighter versionbecause the sound quality and comfort of the wireless headset make it a strong candidate for affordable gaming rig setups.
I was amazed at how comfortable the PLYR was to wear. The memory foam earcups are generous in size and they can be worn with headphones. Overall, it’s light and comfortable enough to wear for at least a few hours without any problems. Personally, I prefer to remove the microphone peripherals when they are not in use, and with PLYR the microphone pops in and out without difficulty.

I tested the headset using Nintendo Switch and a Smartphone Samsung S22 Ultra. Bluetooth connections are quick and stable, with links established in no more than a few seconds. Additionally, the headset comes with a 3.5mm AUX cable for wired connections.
Skullcandy’s headphones include 50mm dynamic drivers, and the sound quality is, for a mid-range headset, impressive. While the bass and sharper sound tend to fade or become annoying at high volumes, the quality and vivid detail will appeal to the gaming community.
When it comes to games, you can also customize your audio experience through an accompanying app — and I recommend taking advantage of this as the app is definitely a selling point.
The Skullcandy-HQ app is welcome. The user interface and functionality go beyond the typical standard that I tend to expect from audio makers, who unfortunately often see apps as something of an afterthought or just a gimmick. flashy market without much real-world value.

The app requires location services and Bluetooth to be enabled. You connect your headphones to the app, install any necessary over-the-air updates, and then you can adjust the sound settings through the custom equalizer channels from 60Hz to 12KHz (with options available). select Bass, Medium or High).
