Skoda Vision 7S exterior sketch reveals the upcoming seven-seater model

One big, seven seats Electric SUV in the process of Skodaand these newly released sketches give us the best look at Kia EV9 competitor. Set to debut later this month as a concept car dubbed the “Vision 7S,” the new model will lead the company’s reworked design language into the electric age.

At the heart of the new look are the integrated “T-bar” headlights with a thinner grille than the current Skodas, which sit above a series of longitudinal cuts in the front bumper. The center vent is finished in contrasting colors, hinting at a potential personalization option for the final vehicle.

Plastic body panels and silver skid plates are also expected to be present, along with Skoda’s trademark clamshell bonnet. The rear profile is mostly uncluttered, with a shallow greenhouse and a sharp shoulder contour. At the rear, the T-bar theme continues with the taillights and there are another series of vertical vents that adopt the same color scheme as the front end.

Drawings have been released to preview the interior of the Vision 7S, and you can expect the seven-seater to hit the market with a giant, standalone portrait-style infotainment screen. The steering wheel also has a new look with four spokes and looks like touch controls.

Below the vertical infotainment screen you’ll find three large, tactile rotary controls, with more buttons underneath. They will likely be used to control the car’s ventilation system. A large center console provides space to store and charge smartphones and other devices.

A top-down sketch shows a practical concept in a 6+1 layout, with two adult seats in each of the three rows and then a novel center-mounted child seat, which will place a baby right in the middle of traffic. This could be a car display element, with the space in the middle of the car eventually being used for three seats, to provide a full seven-seater.

Other elements of note include what appears to be a light bar in the middle of the top of the dashboard – likely a reference to Skoda’s Bohemian glass culture – and, in a sign of burgeoning confidence development of the brand, a Skoda text symbol on the outside of the C-pillar.
