‘They acted as if Metallica was going to walk into their living room and hand them a beer to show the autotune. Being a failure costs every inch of your hair. Grow up.’

She also told 9Honey that the band Wheatus had privately messaged her to say they liked her version and offered some advice.
“They said, ‘I think it’s great, it’s really fun. “Like, you know, ‘Don’t know what the haters were saying. Like, they hated it when we brought it up 20 years ago. So don’t stress about it,'” she said.
She added: ‘A lot of artists, I’m sure, would love to see their songs reinvented years later.’
