Singapore Train Automatically Blinds Windows Near Residential Blocks, Internet Amazed
Having a train or subway near your home can be a small problem for residents. Constant noise added with the idea of losing one’s privacy is not very comfortable. In Singapore, however, this doesn’t seem to matter. Recently, a video of a train with windows becoming opaque when approaching residential buildings is going viral on social media. The futuristic-looking train runs in Singapore and the windows automatically dim to cater for the railway’s proximity to residential areas. According to the Land Transport Authority, a website of the Singapore government agency, the train is Singapore’s Bukit Panjang Light Rail (LRT), also known as Singapore’s first light rail. “The smart fogging glass windows of these trains are well known on the Internet, with netizens attracted by this innovative feature to protect the privacy of residents living near the LRT line,” SGTrains (Singapore Trains) added a website.
