Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations are in full swing and Bollywood celebrities are also joining in on this auspicious occasion. Actor Shraddha Kapoor has shown us her celebrations and her enthusiasm is on full display. Like all devotees, Shraddha has made an effort to wear traditional clothes and is also looking for special delicacies for the festival. Ganesh Chaturthi is a 10-day festival, celebrated with fervor in the state of Maharashtra. The idol of Lord Ganesh is brought home, ideally for 10 days, and worshiped daily before being immersed in the waters at the end of the festival.
Shraddha Kapoor also welcomed ‘Ganpati’ at her home and surrounded the idol with floral decorations along with a bhog gift. She posted a set of photos of herself hugging her idol Lord Ganesha, wearing a traditional red and blue saree. In one of the photos, she is smiling as she digs into a plate of modaks. She captioned the post with – “Ganpati Bappa Morya. My 10 favorite days of the year.”

Shraddha Kapoor also enjoys a traditional Ganesh Chaturthi feast—specially on banana leaves. Neatly plated on the leaves are poori and white rice combined with dal, green chutney and sabzi. There was also a small piece of cob covered in red chili sauce. Then, of course, there’s the modak and a small bowl of sweet seviyan.
